I was born in Matosinhos, Portugal, in 1975 and my interest in comics came before learning how to read.
I write when I have the time to, but mostly I work as a letterer, which I have been doing since 2003. I also do layouts and books design (not necessarily in comic books). I even used to draw, but I don't do that anymore.
I have worked in a portuguese comic book publishing company (as assistant editor), which published, in portuguese, comics from several american companies - like Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, IDW, among others.
My work as letterer reached other countries like Spain, Brazil, Poland, Croatia, Denmark and Cape Verde.
Nowadays, I own an online merchandise shop (www.olobomau.com) and Central Comics, a website for comic book news and all things genre entertainment for the portuguese market (www.centralcomics.com).
I'm still designing and lettering comic books as a freelancer, and writing stories when I have the time to.
I also organize pop culture conventions (www.evento.centralcomics.com).
It all started in 2002, when I co-created 'Troféus Central Comics' - these are portuguese comic book awards, and it still existes until today.
When I opened my comic book shop in Oporto, I started to create and organize comic conventions, like Anigamix, Portusaki and Central Comics-Con, among others.
